Joining the current 007 are heavy hitters such as Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Michael Shannon, and more. Plot details are being kept firmly under wraps for now, but if the talent is anything to go by, the script has quite the hook.Earlier this week, Johnson revealed he started production on Knives Out, so viewers would be forgiven if they thought all the principal roles were cast. Should he officially sign on, Plummer would be the third Academy Award nominee in the cast. Collette and Shannon are the others. With a plethora of credits to his name, Plummer is an experienced veteran actor who’s done just about any genre one can think of. As such, it’s difficult at this time to predict who he might be playing. Plummer can easily portray a friendly elder or someone who’s a bit more sinister. One thing that can be said for sure is he will lend an authoritative presence and a strong amount of gravitas to Knives Out. Even in his advancing age, Plummer is more than capable of delivering a captivating performance. He’s coming off of his awards worthy turn as J. Johnson is well-known for thinking outside the box and defying genre conventions with his work, so it’ll be interesting to see what his approach is here. The sales pitch is it’s a modern-day whodunit in the vein of Agatha Christie, but there’s probably a lot more to it than meets the eye. And there’s apparently no telling who else might join the cast. Johnson fans are likely awaiting news about frequent collaborator Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s possible involvement in Knives Out.More: Rian Johnson Is Still Working On His New Star Wars TrilogySource: THR
